After the snooze inducing menswear shows, Paris has finally stepped it up for the Spring/Summer Haute Couture shows. Armani took more inspiration from Asia, this time laquering models in architectural yet slinky gowns. Givenchy gave us more mesh appliqued gowns, this time with shots of electric colors. John Galliano played with the iconic Dior silhouettes using more modern fabrics and color combos, to create 21st century housewife looks, perfect for any socialite. Karl took his inspiration from the early a 1923 portrait of Coco Chanel, as well as the Ballet for which she designed costumes during the period. Clothes were light and airy in blush, pink, and beige tones, though the Chanel craftsmanship was painstakingly perfect and mindblowing as usual. Below are some of our favorite looks, see all the haute couture shows here.
